Of course as a makeup artist, I like to be up to date on all the trends and products so I was excited for this new product from UNICORN GLOW. Also, how great is this company name!!! I struggled with this product more than most. I am not a fan of really bright lip tints. I am more of a nude lip kind of girl. So seeing a bright pink and bright red product was a little disappointing, not because of the product, just because of the fact that I wouldn’t use it too much.Once I used the product on my lips it was too ‘watery’ for my preference. I really did not like that ‘wet’ feeling even on my lips. Of course this is a personal opinion and will not be the experience of everyone. UNICORN GLOW Tinted Lip Water Stick is a stain in lightweight packaging with a powerful fruity scent and taste. I have been a make up artist for a very long time and can reminisce on how this one is like lip plumping products felt when they first arrived on the market back in the day. This one goes on watery which is different and dries to a full matte tint, quite revolutionary with that transition. I appreciate that this is free of mineral oil or parabens and is cruelty free. Unfortunately, my sensitivities are too much for this product; the color did not glide on, rather pulled unevenly and left my lips and tongue numb with an unpleasant after taste. I think this would work well on fresh young lips and someone who doesn’t have adverse reactions to products. I will imagine this combination would have better results. This will not be in my kit as I consider myself the gold standard and wouldn’t put anything on anyone else that doesn’t work on me.

Hello there! I am a makeup artist with 12 years of experience. I tried out the Unicorn Glow Tinted Lip Water Stick in 02 Balloon and 01 Secret. Between these two colors, the 02 Balloon was my favorite. I was excited to try these lip stains but unfortunately, they did not work out for me. I did not like that they were very messy. It was very liquidy and it kept running under my lip line. I kept cleaning it and it would get all over my teeth. I had to reapply the product to get the full color on my lips. It was also very drying towards the end. I also did not like the smell of it! It was very strong and smelled like kool-aid. I am a woman in my late 30s and this product was definitely not for me. I think a teen or a young adult would like this product. It was fun but not for me.

I’ve been a beauty reviewer for over three years and was so excited to try this new brand and product. I also love K beauty. I got two different colors. One was a hot pink and the other was red. The hot pink didn’t work well with my skin tone for my lips so I also tried it as a blush, but it dried too quickly and couldn’t be rubbed in without it just looking like a line. The red one, called secret, looked much better with my complexion. The is is that it is more like a lip stain even though it’s called a tinted lip water stick. It dried my lips out, so I’d have to wear a balm or a lip gloss over it. I also know that it has a fruity scent, but I don’t love the smell of this either. Overall this product was not a good match for me. The brand does make other products I love.
